If you were a plant, what plant would you be?

We asked our Gardening Comittee to answer this question so you could get to know them a little better.

I would be a BEEBALM because of their unique shape and bright colour!

I would be LAVENDER because it's my favourite plant!

I love the bravery of CROCUSES emerging through the snow, giving a welcome splash of colour and bringing a message of hope in the early spring.  I have wonderful childhood memories of searching for crocuses on walks in the park with my mother - and taking care not to step on them, hidden in the prairie grasses!

I would be a LOTUS as I love being in water. Additionally, you can eat their roots or use them for silk and fold their petals. They are also self-cleaning due to their ultrahydrophobicity causing water to pick up dirt particles and then slide off. This is known as the lotus effect!

I’d be a DANDELION – because I admire their capacity to cheerily thrive wherever they land.

Krithika

I would be ALOE VERA - because they are soothing and therapeutic. They are also spiky so you don't mess with them!

I'd love to be a SUNFLOWER--they are cheerful plants, and being very tall I would have a great view of the beauty of our community garden.
